When you create a poll, you have to decide wheter you want the participats to choose between yes and no or if they should be able to rate the choices from 0 to 10. While ratings give the users a better way to express their preferences, using them can also be confusing in some cases. On the right, you see examples of what the poll page looks like for these two situations. If you decide to use ratings, it might be a good idea to describe the meaning of the values in the poll description. |

When you create a poll, you have to decide wheter you want the participats to be able to delete and edit their entries. There is one important thing to realize: If you allow editing/deleting, any user can edit or delete any entry. The creator of the poll is notified of the change by email, so if it is obviously someone messing with an entry, he can fix this. So the conclusion is that if your Apollopoll is for a few friends, the possibility to edit is useful and does not bring any problems. If you create a poll for your blog or for a forum, it is better not to allow editing of entries. |

Apollopoll is great to schedule dates with your friends, a sports team, and band, or whatever you can think of. To facilitate entering a date, the "date picker" tool can be used. To enter a date as a choice in the poll, simply click on the date in the date picker tool. You can navigate to a different month or year with the arrows on top and the numbers on the bottom of the date picker tool. Once you have added a date as a choice, you can freely edit it and add text as you want. If you do not like the format in which the date is displayed, you can even change it with the text box below the Date Picker Tool. Changing the format does not affect the dates you have already entered. |

Currently, it is not possible to reactivate a deleted entry. Also, it is not possible to create a new entry with the same name. This is done purposely to avoid confusion if one Mike deletes his entry and then another Mike, not suspecting anything, creates a new one. If you happened to delete your entry, just choose a new name: You can spell it a little differently or put "Mike2" instead of "Mike". |
